Development Team Manager

St. James’ Gate Football Club are currently accepting applications for the position of Development Team Manager at the club. St. James’ Gate Football Club are a well established Football Club based in the Dublin 12 region on the south side of Dublin City.

Most notably the Club were a founding member of the League of Ireland whilst also winning the First League of Ireland campaign & FAI Cup. In existence since 1902 the club has had many honors throughout the years, all of which can be found here.

The club is entering into a very important era and we would like to receive applications from individuals who feel they can help develop players and push the club on in the future

Role Description / Duties

  • Liaise with 1st Team & U19s Managers to develop players in a competitive environment

  • Ability to bring in some of your own Coaching team (Backroom Team)

  • Selecting the team of players for matches, and their formation in line with club goals

  • Assisting in the implementation of SJG playing and training strategy

  • Development of Players and Coaching Staff.

  • Scouting for young and talented players to develop

  • Working with the others coaches and managers on footballing related matters

  • Engaging with the Committee on all Club matters

  • Dealing with media outlets where required

  • Creating a community environment for provision of football to people in the great Crumlin/Drimnagh area
